Expanding Our Folding Capability with the TRUMPF TruBend 5320
Sherburn Metalwork continues to invest in advanced manufacturing technology to deliver greater capacity, precision and efficiency for our customers. Our latest investment, the TRUMPF TruBend 5320 press brake, represents a significant step forward in our bending and folding capabilities.
With an impressive 4420mm working length and a 320 tonne folding capacity, the TruBend 5320 allows us to handle larger, heavier and more complex components with confidence. This expanded capability means we can now support projects that demand longer folds, thicker materials and tighter tolerances, all while maintaining the high standards of quality our customers expect.
This new press brake works seamlessly alongside our new TRUMPF 24Kw Fibre Laser (4m x 2m) laser cutting system, enabling us to laser cut and fold parts up to four metres in length entirely in-house. By keeping both processes under one roof, we offer a more streamlined and efficient service, reducing lead times, improving consistency and giving customers greater control over their project schedules.
The TruBend 5320 is designed for accuracy and efficiency at every stage of production. Built-in measurement and angle correction systems ensure each bend is right from the very first component, reducing waste and minimising the need for rework. The machine also operates faster and more quietly, helping us maintain a productive working environment while delivering quicker turnaround times without compromising on quality.
This investment gives us increased flexibility for complex and bespoke folding work, opening the door to more specialist projects across a wide range of industries. Combined with our state-of-the-art laser cutting facilities, our bending and folding machinery enables us to carry out all sheet metalwork processes in-house, from initial cut to final formed component.
